365 days Woah!!! Each day was a story or an experience to share!!
We reached the end of a pretty eventful year and personally we often try to analyze or determine what happened to our last year’s resolution. Some really brave souls lasted more than a month but most lasted a week or less; but I am quite sure we did take on some new ones this year as well. We trust in that small ray of hope that we can still do or achieve the new ones.
Looking back at last year, we try to ask ourselves some hard hitting questions; did the good in us overpower the bad or vice-versa? do we still believe in our God made self or pretend to be compliant to the environment and people around us? did we do any good without selfish motives or were we still looking for things for ourselves only?…a lot of really tough questions.
But one thing I want to assure you this year…
No matter who you are and what you want to be; you may have found people in your life who did or didn’t fulfill your expectation, someone who loved or liked completely changed took a turn for worse…BUT MY JESUS HAS NEVER CHANGED… HE IS STILL THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER.
Word of God says, In CHRIST the past is washed away and you are a new creation (2 Cor 5:17) So frankly you don’t need new “New Year Resolution” You need JESUS!!!
We make so many promises to ourselves and others that we hardly fulfill but God’s promises never go in vain. If He has promised you something… WAIT PATIENTLY – which we often, including me, fail to do so.
We rely on our own understanding of the world and things around us, we research so much about the things we want (knowledge), we keep trying until we succeed (might) but fall flat on our face (failure, Doubt) giving up and grumbling with complaint and thinking in our heart God isn’t helping. But is it God not helping ?? This is what God says…
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Let me give you some promises that will need in this New Year:
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23.
So everyday wake up with a grateful heart and experience God’s grace and faithfulness in your life.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” Ephesians 4:32
Before contemplating to hold on grudge or revenge, question yourself: How much forgiveness has God shown me even when I was unfaithful and ungrateful?
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”Matthew 11:28-29
When you are tired with pace of others and keeping up with the plans learn to surrender to Him and you would see His gentleness.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”John 14:27
When the world is running to get peace in different directions, turn to this verse.
The Bible and Jesus has answers to everything you would face over the next 12 months That’s why it is important to cling to Him and pursue intimate relationship with God. We Pray that you will be source of love and blessing to others and it may be a overflow of what God is doing in your life.
